CEO of the Gowan Group – a major agricultural input company with operations in 19 countries, holds an MBA from Stanford Business School and a dual bachelor’s degree in engineering from Stanford University and Claremont McKenna College. After working at the US Environmental Protection Agency, she joined the Gowan Group in 1986. During her tenure, she has progressed through roles of increased responsibility in engineering, regulatory, sales, marketing, and general management. She has held the CEO position since 2004 while the company has quadrupled in size. She has served on the boards of industry trade associations including CropLife America, the Executive Council of AmCham EU, Western Crop Protection Association, Southern Crop Protection Association, and Western Growers Association. Ms. Jessen’s extensive experience in agricultural markets and her belief in using sound science to support technology and innovation in agriculture will be pivotal in shaping Desert Control’s corporate strategy.
