Water is a scarce resource that many of us take for granted, but unfortunately large parts of Earths population are not so lucky. According to NOAA, 2014 and 2015 were the warmest years on record. Devastating droughts destroy harvests, make soil infertile and allow deserts to increase in size. It’s time to rejuvenate the planet. We’ve created Liquid NanoClay (LNC) which we produce by combining clay and water in a patented mixing process. It’s then spread onto sandy soil and the LNC enables the soil to retain water, turning desert into fertile soil.
We produce Liquid NanoClay (LNC) by combining clay and water in a patented mixing process. We bring our patented mixing units to the customer and apply LNC directly into the irrigation water and use sprinklers to spread it. The mix sinks into the soil, creating a 40-60 cm deep layer, which retains the water like a sponge. This layer stops water from evaporating and ensures optimal growing conditions for anything you plant in it. To cultivate sandy soil into fertile land normally takes 7-15 years, we do it in 7 hours. One application of LNC lasts a minimum of 5 years. What’s more is that it’s completely organic and doesn’t use any chemicals.
Other benefits of using Liquid NanoClay:
- Customers will save between 1/2 to 2/3 of the water they are currently using to irrigate their land.
- Tests have shown a significant yield increase on anything planted in soil treated with LNC and fertilizer.
- Turning desert to green land lowers the surface temperature around 15°C and reduces CO2 emissions by 15-25 tons per hectare.

Ole Morten has an extensive background in R&D prior to teaming up with Kristian. Ole Morten has been an integral part of Desert Control since its inception. He has been instrumental in developing and testing LNC and getting Desert Control to where it is today.

Kristian comes from a successful background as a consultant in HVAC for 25 years, then turn-key contractor from 1997 with projects on North Sea oilrigs. After assisting another inventor testing a sand surface coating, Kristian invented the Liquid NanoClay Soil enhancer and has been developing and testing it for the last 8 years.

Andreas has a background that has taken him though the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy, start-ups in China and Norway, sailing around the World and working in the Norwegian oil industry, before joining the Desert Control team to bring LNC to the market.
