President and CEO of Ranch Systems – an agriculture-focused IoT company he founded in 2005, holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and both bachelor of science and masters of science degrees in computer science from the University of Copenhagen. Early in his career, he co-founded and served as Chief Technology Officer of Christfort Data, a Danish startup focused on industrial PDAs and field force automation software, with primary applications in agriculture and forestry. He became a consultant at McKinsey and then held a series of senior technology and executive roles over nearly decade at Oracle Corporation. In 2001, he founded Christfort Ranch, a 1,500-acre property in California where the operational challenges of remotely and reliably managing the ranch’s water and irrigation infrastructure directly inspired much of the early technology developed at Ranch Systems. Under his leadership, Ranch Systems has become an established industry leader, delivering advanced wireless sensing, data, and automation solutions for agricultural customers globally. Mr. Christfort’s proven track record in managing growth companies will be valuable as Desert Control continues its growth journey.
