Sandnes, Norway, 7 January 2026 – Desert Control AS (DSRT) today announced that it has signed a contract for the manufacturing of its first next-generation production unit. This milestone marks a major step in Desert Control’s transition from prototype development to full commercial production.
The next-generation production unit is based on a new, production-optimized system configuration, designed for manufacturability, improved efficiency, modularity, and a reduced footprint.
The system is designed for high-capacity production and deployment in demanding operational environments. “This contract represents a major step forward for Desert Control as we expand our production fleet and commercial delivery capability,” said James Thomas, Chief Executive Officer of Desert Control. “Construction of the initial unit is expected to take place during the first quarter of 2026, with a fully commissioned mobile unit anticipated to be operating in the field early in the second quarter. Additional units are planned over the course of 2026 to meet expected demand from customers and licensees.” The first production unit will serve as the company’s baseline configuration for future builds, enabling manufacturing scale-up and supporting Desert Control’s strategy for broader market introduction.
